Douglas "Doug" Hoyt Poole, Sr. age 64, of Canton, GA passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his Residence.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Mayo officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2012, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Friday, May 25, 2012 at South Canton Funeral Home.

I knew both Doug and his Dad. Both were very fine men. This world is less without them but Heaven is much brighter. He will be missed until we can see him again.

wendy you a e best friend i could ever ask for and your dad was like my dad and loved my kids like his grandkids . we are going to miss him iam so glad i got to spend some of the last days with him .i love all of you and if you need me iam there all the way for you and the family . love you girl

We were so very sorry hear of Dougs passing. He was such a nice person & family friend whom always went out of his way to speak to me. I will truly miss seeing & speaking with him at Ingles. Doug was my dads best friend at the telephone company. He was also the best man in my wedding. With many regrets I haven't seen or talked to him in years. I feel very fortunate to have had him as a friend after my dad passed away. He was always so willing to help me with anything. I very sorry for your loss and he will be missed.

I would like to send my deepest sympathy to Wendy, Doug, Jr. and Sarah and all of Doug''s family.
I''m so sorry to hear of Doug''s death. I have good memories of going to Harold and Dona''s when I was growing up. I loved being there when Doug and Harold would plan music.
Doug will be deeply missed.

I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing.I worked with Doug starting in 1973 he was more than just a co-worker but a good friend . The GTE group was a special group more like family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our prayers and condolences to all the family.

I am so sorry to hear about your parents Doug and Wendy. As a teenager I remember being warmly welcomed in your home. Your mom was so sweet to me and your dad made me laugh with his goofy jokes! I know it has been years since high school, but I wanted you to know they were both loved by me too. May God bless you both in His own way.
