I am so very sorry for your loss. I just spoke to Cortney a couple weeks ago she was working. I remember the young girl that was friends with my son Heath and played ball. Praying for your family and thanking Jesus for strength and comfort. God Bless you all

Greg, Brandy & Gina,
Words can not begin to tell you what Cortney meant to me & my family! She was like a daughter to me and of course a sister to Britney! We had some good times with those lil Tomboys as we watched them grow up! Cortney grew into a beautiful young lady and her personality was one of a kind as it was larger than life!!!
She always had a song in the air and a smile to put on everyone's face!!! I'll always keep her close in my heart and think of her often!!!
Please know that our prayers are with you all and we will be here to help in anyway poosible in the days to come!
Please hold tight to God's promise that "His strength is perfect in our weakness"!
We love you!

I learned about Courtney passing today. I am so heartbroken. I was one of her headstart teachers at Ralph Bunche School. I didn't know her as an adult, but remember her sweet little face and very outing personality as a child. May god bring peace to her family and friends.
God Bless!

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't personally know Cortney, but her late grandmother, Gail, was my first cousin. Your entire family is in my prayers.
Look up to God for strength, and he will pull you through.

I am so sorry. This was such a shock. I am glad that I got to meet Courtney and become friends with her. I worked with her at Kmart and she was such a funny person. If you were in a down mood she would be one to put a smile on your face and make you forget whatever you was down about. Those babies she loved to no end. You will be missed but never forgotten Courtney!!!!

My sincerest sympathy to your family. What a tragedy to lose a young and promising life. May the fact that Jesus died to allow us to be forgiven sins and have the hope of the resurrection he promised, bring you comfort.

I was one of Cortney Head Start teachers at Ralph Bunche.Cortney was a very sweet girl, she always had a smile on her face and ALWAYS had something to say.She was a pleasure to have as a student.I'm sorry for your loss and for not being able to attend her visitation nor funeral.I was sick with that nasty bug and was at ER on Saturday but had no idea what had happened.I also let Mrs.Collins know of Cortney passing, she was also a teacher at Ralph Bunche.May God continue to Bless each and everyone of you.I will continue to lift the family up in prayer.

We are so very sorry for the loss of Cortney. She was such a big help for our family when we lost our son in law. She was such a wonderful person, so full of life. You could not help but love her. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.

Gina and Family,

I pray this Poem bring you comfort for your loss that was found. As God comfort me at 15 yrs of age in 1974 with the pain of losing my brother also in a car wreck. I still miss him but in time the wounds heal with good memories replacing the hurt, questions and anger. Making sure we live moreso for God and the living. Love you. IT IS SO HARD WHEN A LOVED ONE IS TAKEN AWAY.
WHY WAS HE CHOSEN AND I HAD TO STAY?
GOD HAD TO HAVE KNOWN THAT IT WOULD HAVE HURT ME SO.
THAT I WASN’T READY TO LET MY DEAR BROTHER GO.
WITH MY HEART SO HEAVY AND MY SPIRIT SO LOW!
A FAMILY NOW MISSES WITH ONE LESS TO HOLD.
LEFT NOW WITH JUST MEMORIES AND A FEW REGRETS.
OF A LOT MORE NEEDED I LOVE YOU’S AND TIME BETTER SPENT.
SEARCHING FOR HEALING BUT NOW WHERE DO YOU TURN?
ONLY FAITH IN THE LORD AND GOD’S WORDS THAT YOU’VE
LEARNED.
THEN YOU WRITE DOWN YOUR HEART THAT’S WHERE I BEGAN.
AS A SONG OR A POEM THAT CAN HEAL DEEP WITHIN.
WITH GOD’S PROMISES THAT WE WOULD ALL MEET AGAIN.
IF WE KNOW JESUS AND HIS BLOOD COVERS OUR SINS’.
FEELING SECURED WITH COVERED ALTARS WITH TEARS.
I KNOW I NOW HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR.
FOR I KNOW MY LORD WILL HEAR AND STAY NEAR.
CONFIDENT THAT I WILL SEE MY BROTHER WHEN HEAVEN APPEARS.
I KNOW FOR MY TEARS TO BE ASHAMED WASN’T MEANT.
IT IS NOT A SIGN OF WEAKNESS BUT THE BEGINNING OF STRENGHT.
AS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT GOD’S PEACE WAS SENT.
LEAVING NOW A HEART THAT IS FILLED WITH CONTENT.
SO UNTIL MY TIME COMES I WILL STAY SINCERE.
AS I COVERED THE ALTARS WITH TEARS.
