Douglas A. Gay, age 60, of Canton, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at his residence.  He was a printer operator at Lucent Technologies and a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Hopewell Baptist Church (Clayton Community) with Rev. Matt Foster, Rev. Grant Wade and Rev. Jerry Moody officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gay, Canton; daughter, Claire Gay, Canton; brothers, Leon Gay and Melvin Gay, Canton; sister, Martha Tippens, Jasper; father-in-law, Billy Kuykendall, Canton; several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 10:00 pm on Thursday, from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday and until the funeral hour on Saturday.  South Canton Funeral Home & Chapel (770) 479-3377.
