James Goodwin, Jr., age 86, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Northside Hospital Cherokee. He retired from the Coca Cola Bottling Company and was of Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m.on Friday, March 5, 2010, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby McFarland and Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Mary Goodwin, Canton; sons, Edward Goodwin, Jasper, Larry Goodwin, Dawsonville; daughter, Martha Pruitt, Canton; brothers, Leon Goodwin, Fairmount, Bobby Lee Goodwin, Canton, Clarence Goodwin, Ellijay; sister, Ella Mae Goodwin, Canton; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
