J. H. Cantrell, age 64, of Canton, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at his residence.  He retired from Siemens after 20 years of service, was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.  He enjoyed playing Santa Claus at Christmas for his grandchildren and other children in the neighborhood.  Graveside serivces will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park at  1:00 p.m. on  Monday, March 15, 2010 with Mr. Robert Mulford officiating.  Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jean Cantrell, Canton; daughter, Carmen (Todd) Mulford, Athens; brother, Lamar (Ruth Ann) Cantrell, Jasper; grandchildren, Avery and Robert Mulford; nephew, Shannon (Stefanie) Cantrell.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and until the funeral hour on Monday.  South Canton Funeral Home & Chapel (770) 479-3377.
